Proud of our Teams
U13…
Our U13s battled bravely in our League semi final away to a very skillful and talented Castleconnor side on Tuesday evening last. It was a game that ebbed and flowed in the first half with very little separating the sides. The third quarter swung towards Castleconnor with some well taken goals but the Tubbercurry / Cloonacool lads kept fighting relentlessly in the final quarter and ended the game strongly, but unfortunately ended up short on the evening. The Management team were very encouraged by recent performances and would like to thank the players and parents for their great efforts so far as we look forward to championship.
U15…
On Thursday evening, our U15s took to the Scarden pitch in the League Final against Enniscrone / Kilglass. In what was a physical and fast paced game, both teams traded scores regularly and finished the first half level (T/C 1-04 E/K 0-07). The second half tested crossbars and posts with regularity as both teams had glorious opportunities to snatch victory. Unfortunately for the Tubbercurry / Cloonacool contingent, we ended up on the wrong side of a 3-point defeat 1-14 (17) to 3-05 (14). Again, like our U13s, the management team were left beaming with pride at the final whistle knowing that the players gave an enormous effort throughout and showed great discipline and skill. Huge thanks again to players, parents and coaches for their efforts to date.
