Well Done

Well done to clubmen Diarmuid Henry and Kevin Carnahan who were part of Sligo Minor team who beat Roscommon in the Connacht Minor Championship at the weekend. Next up is Galway in the Connacht Final Semi final… keep it going lads! The club also had some involvement in Ulster where former county championship winning captain Brendan Kilcoyne was coach with Donegal Minors, unfortunately Donegal lost out narrowly on penalties to Tyrone in the Semi-final.

Sympathies

The club extends sympathy to Grimes family on the recent death of James, James son Mervyn who now lives in Galway was a former star player for Tubbercurry in the early 2000’s.

50/50

Congratulations to Gary Curran who won €352 in our draw on Monday May 16th. Tickets can be purchased at www.lottoraiser.ie/tubbercurrygaa/ or in store at Surlis’s Supervalu, McSorleys Centra, Foleys or Mickey Macs.

Club Action

Our Senior team lost out to St Farnans on a scoreline of 4-05 to 0-10 in round 2 of Fureys Coaches Senior League Division One. It was really good performance from the lads but unfortunately a more clinical St Farnans grabbed a few goals that got them over the line. In positive news it was good to see Brian Curran and Rory Ryan make a welcome return to action after recent injury layoffs. Next up for the Seniors is the South Sligo Spring League final away v Tourlestrane next Friday @ 8pm.

Our Juniors had no game this weekend but they play in the final of the South/West Junior spring league vs Tourlestrane next Sunday in Kilcoyne Park @1pm.

Our U13’s had a great win against Curry on Tuesday evening, in a hard fought game we won on a scoreline of 6-09 to 2-06. We are away to Tourlestrane on Friday May 27th.

Our U15’s return to action with a home game against Coolera on Sunday May 29th at 4pm.

Our U9’s play Enniscone in Kilcoyne Park @ 6:30pm on Tuesday May 24th and our U7’s play Coolany/Mullinbrenna in Kilcoyne @ 7pm on Weds May 25th.

Fundraiser

Our annual Car Wash Fundraiser take place next Saturday May 28th in Kilcoyne Park from 10am to 4pm, all support greatly appreciated!

Pitch Development

Watch out for big news in relation to our pitch development over the next few weeks… grass growth on the new all weather pitch is progressing very well and our state of the art match ready floodlights are due to be installed by mid-June. Exciting times in Kilcoyne Park!
